Role:

Deliverables:

MCE x Apple SDK Trade-in integration

Problem Statement

MCE needed to integrate its diagnostic and valuation SDK into Apple’s trade-in journey without disrupting the native experience, while delivering accurate diagnostics and pricing.

Goals & Objectives

  1. Maintain native Apple experience and interaction patterns

  2. Integrate SDK functionality seamlessly across mobile and web

  3. Minimise friction within Apple’s existing journey

Research & Insights

  • Users trust familiar native patterns and are more likely to complete journeys that feel platform-consistent.

  • Disruptive transitions or unfamiliar UI can reduce confidence and completion rates.

Approach & Strategy

I designed a hybrid journey that began and ended within Apple’s native flow, embedding the MCE SDK to enable real-time diagnostics and accurate valuation.

Care was taken to follow Apple’s interaction patterns, layout conventions and language so the experience felt native rather than inserted.

The diagnostic step was introduced as a natural part of the journey, guiding users through device checks while keeping the process clear and easy to complete.

Journey Mapping

Final Designs

A seamless cross-platform experience guiding users from Apple’s trade-in journey into MCE’s diagnostic SDK and back to complete the flow.
